What to expect from a care assessment

The word assessment can sound formal, but at Generations Care Agency it is really just a conversation. We come to your relative's home, at a time that suits the family, and take the time to understand what would help.

A cup of tea and a proper chat

We start by listening. What does a typical day look like? What is going well? What has become harder? We ask about health, medication, sleep, meals, hobbies and the people who matter most.

Building a plan around the person

From that conversation we build a care plan that reflects the person, not a template. This might include specific visit times, favourite meals, mobility support, medication prompts, and the little things that make someone feel like themselves, such as always having Radio 2 on in the morning.

No pressure, ever

You are never committed after an assessment. Take the plan away, discuss it with the family, and come back to us in your own time.
